Shabby Chic Storage Cabinet
SHABBY chic furniture has taken over the high street stores.
From Wilkinson’s, to John Lewis, people are craving the rustic style.
So i thought this would be a great opportunity to create a video tutorial to show all of you crafty people how to make your own shabby chic furniture the cheap way.
One of the first things you need to do is scour the charity shops!
I picked up the cabinet is the video for £2.
You can all sorts of furniture from charity shops, from bedside tables, to chairs and you can always barter with the staff too.
Other resources you will need:
A sander/ sandpaper
Emulsion paint- preferably white
Paintbrush
A wash cloth
Some old clothes (so that you don’t ruin any of your nice ones)
Top layer paint (I’ve used silver)
Choice of handles if needed
I found my fabulous handles from Home Bargains at £2.99 for four. You can also get loads of different styles in Wilkinson’s and online at Ebay.com
