The phrase has come about recently, meaning to reuse and recycle objects and materials and making them into new products instead of throwing them away.

Hipcycle.com describes the phrase as “giving an item a better purpose.”

So from making dresses out of curtains or using a simple dinner fork and changing into a photo frame holder, you too can get involved.
